Just in case you are still not convinced I will summarise some important facts
covered in Diamonds Naked
1 Don't get hung up on clarity. All diamonds SI1 and above are eye clean. If you are considering SI2 as an option you MUST read my e-book.
Choose D, E or F colour if you like white. Choose J, K, or L colour if you like warmth.
This is absolutely the most important criteria for a successful purchase You must choose a GIA or HRD certified diamond with VG or EX for the proprotion or symmerty grade. Other certificates are acceptable however you MUST read my ebook first so you understand the differences
You can not compare a GIA EX with a HRD VG and think the GIA diamond is better.
A diamond with a thick girdle will look much smaller, a diamond with a thin girdle is prone to chipping
A 1.00ct E colour, SI1 clarity with a VG proprotion or symmetry grade will look much nicer and be more impressive than a 1.00ct H colour, VVS1 clarity with a G proprotion or symmetry grade
even though the second choice will cost much more
Still not convinced, Try This
Approx 26,000kg of diamond is mined annually and 100,000kg is synthesized (Man Made)? If you have a 1.00ct J colour, VVS2 diamond which is uncertified in most cases it is impossible for
your jeweller, your valuer or your diamond merchant to tell whether it is synthetic or natural
